Vagisan lactic acid can be used prophylactically in case of a tendency to relapse of vaginal inflammation and as an addition to drug treatment (oral antibiotics) for vaginal infections. Vagisan is especially useful if there are still enough lactic acid bacteria in the vagina, and acidification promotes the development of stable healthy vaginal microflora.
Instructions for use:
Insert the vaginal suppository as deeply as possible into the vagina in the evening before going to bed. Vaginal suppositories are easier to insert if they are pre-moistened under running water. It is recommended to use daily pads/napkins, as due to the particularly good solubility of vaginal suppositories, increased discharge may be observed. The duration of use is usually 5-7 days. Vagisan lactic acid can also be used for a longer period of time 2-3 times a week (one vaginal suppository in the evening).”
