“Compound :
Active substance: fluconazole – 3 mg/ml;
Excipients: sodium chloride; benzalkonium chloride; water for injections.
Indications:
Fungal keratitis, scleritis, endophthalmitis and other fungal infections of the eyes.
Contraindications:
hypersensitivity to fluconazole (including other azole derivatives) or other components of the drug;
concomitant use of terfenadine, astemizole or cisapride.
Restrictions on use
children’s age (safety and effectiveness have not been determined).
Dosage and method of application:
Instillation into the affected eye 1-2 drops 4 times a day.
The duration of treatment is no more than 3 weeks.
Side effects:
From the organs of vision: rarely – eye irritation and conjunctival hyperemia.
From other organs: headache, dizziness, convulsions, rash, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis, leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, nausea, diarrhea, abdominal pain, flatulence, liver dysfunction, hepatitis, hepatocyte necrosis, increased serum levels of aspartate aminotransferase (AST) and alanine aminotransferase (ALT), renal dysfunction, increased plasma cholesterol and triglyceride levels, hypokalemia, anaphylactic reactions, angioedema, facial swelling, itching, change in taste.”
