Fields of application
Throat lozenges are used to protect the mucous membranes of the mouth and throat. They are used to treat throat problems such as hoarseness, sore throat, irritation when coughing and dry mucous membranes, as well as the resulting sore throat or the resulting unproductive dry cough (so-called dry cough).
The causes of dryness and irritation of the mucous membranes of the mouth and throat are very diverse, among them:
high strain on the voice,
restricted nasal breathing (e.g. due to a cold),
dry air caused by heating or air conditioning,
allergy to pollen (hay fever),
Smoke.
Principle of operation:
When sucked, throat lozenges form a special hydrodepot that binds moisture. It contains such gelling components as: B. Hyaluronic acid. Hydro-Depot adheres well to the mucous membrane and forms a protective film on irritated areas. A slight effervescent effect and a special composition of minerals intensively stimulate the secretion of saliva. This is very important so that the formed hydrodepot is evenly distributed in the mouth and throat. Irritated areas can regenerate again. Relieves complaints such as hoarseness, sore throat, cough, dry mucous membranes and the resulting sore throat.
Dosage
Depending on your needs, you can do this several times a day, for example. For example, suck on throat lozenges every 2-3 hours. You can use up to 6 lozenges per day. We recommend taking it after meals.
If your acute symptoms worsen (e.g. fever, sore throat, body aches) or do not improve within 3 days, consult a doctor.
Side effects
Throat lozenges may have a laxative effect and/or cause gastrointestinal problems if used excessively.
Allergic or hypersensitivity reactions may occur in sensitive individuals.”
