Dentinox N is a medicinal product for use in the irritation of the gums and pain related to teething and eruption of milk teeth.
Composition
The active substances are: chamomile tincture ( Chamomillae tinctura ), lidocaine ( Lidocaini hydrochloridum ), macrogol ( Macrogoli aether laurilicum ).
10 g of gel contains 1500 mg of chamomile tincture (1: 4-4.5), extractant: ethanol 70% (v / v), 34 mg of lidocaine hydrochloride, 32 mg of macrogol, lauryl ether.
Excipients: carbomer (934 P), levomenthol, disodium edetate, sodium hydroxide 10%, polysorbate 20, propylene glycol, sodium saccharin, non-crystallising liquid sorbitol, purified water, xylitol.
Ethanol content in the product max 9.5%.
Dosage
Always use this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.
- A drug for use on the gums.
- The drug for short-term use in acute symptoms of teething.
- Dentinox N gum gel can be used throughout the entire period of the eruption of milk teeth. The same is true for the eruption of molars.
Use the drug 2-3 times a day. Massage a small amount of gel (the size of a pea) into the gums – with a finger or a cotton swab. Apply the gel especially after eating or after hygienic procedures in the mouth, before going to bed.
Action
Dentinox N soothes the symptoms associated with teething – it soothes irritation of the gums and pain.
Indications
Painful eruption of milk teeth with symptoms of irritation and pain.
Contraindications
Do not use Dentinox N:
- if you are allergic to active substances or any of the other ingredients of this medicine,
- in case of intolerance to chamomile or other plants of the Asteraceae family (including cross-reactions), hypersensitivity reactions to chamomile (e.g. contact dermatitis),
- if you are intolerant to lidocaine or similar local anesthetics (amide type),
- in case of fructose intolerance.
Side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Not known:
hypersensitivity reactions of mucous membranes and skin – symptoms of burning sensation, redness.
In case of hypersensitivity, discontinue use of the drug.
Warnings and Precautions
- If after 7 days there is no improvement or the patient feels worse, you should see your doctor.
- Avoid contact with the eyes while using the drug.
- In the event of greater redness, swelling or hypersensitivity reactions, please contact your doctor.
- The drug contains propylene glycol which may cause local irritation.
- The drug contains sorbitol, which should not be used in fructose intolerance.
- The drug contains small amounts of ethanol (alcohol), less than 100 mg per dose.
- Keep the drug out of the sight and reach of children. Store below 25 ° C.
Use of other medications
Tell your doctor or pharmacist about all the drugs you are taking, or have recently taken, and about the doctor you plan to take, including those sold without a prescription.
Dentinox N should not be used with other drugs containing local anesthetics.
Taking the drug with food and drink
Use the drug after eating.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Consult a doctor before using the drug in the case of pregnant or breastfeeding women.
Use of the drug in children and adolescents
The drug should not be used in children under 3 months of age.
Dentinox N should not be used in infants under 12 months of age who are simultaneously treated with agents that cause methaemoglobinaemia.
