“Ichthyol ointment is a medicine used topically in the treatment of eczema, furunculosis and acne.
Compound:
The active ingredient is ichthyol (Ichthammolum). 100 g of ointment contains 10 g of ichthyol. Excipients: lanolin, yellow petroleum jelly.
Indications and action
The drug ichthyol ointment is used for local treatment of eczema, furunculosis, acne. Ichthyol ointment has a weak antibacterial (bacteriostatic) effect, astringent, and helps remove pus from the affected areas.
Dosage:
Always use this medication exactly as directed in this leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Adults: topically to the skin, apply a thin layer to the affected area 1-2 times a day. Wash your hands thoroughly before and after using this medicine. The medicine should not be used on damaged skin.
Contraindications:
