“An herbal remedy used as an expectorant for wet coughs accompanied by difficulty coughing up stagnant, thick secretions.
Included
100 g (equivalent to 81 ml) syrup contains:
active ingredient: 430.55 mg dry extract of Hedera helicis L. folium (ivy leaf), (DER 4-8:1), extraction solvent: ethanol 30% (w/w),
excipients: potassium sorbate, anise essential oil, propylene glycol, non-crystallizing liquid sorbitol 70%, purified water.
Action
The drug has a triple effect:
acts as an expectorant,
dilutes retained secretions,
relaxes the bronchi.
Dosage
Oral administration. The kit includes a measuring cup. Take the syrup undiluted with water.
Children aged 2 to 5 years: 2-3 times a day, 2.5 ml measuring cup or half a teaspoon.
Children from 6 to 11 years: 5 ml or 1 teaspoon twice a day.
Adults and adolescents from 12 years of age: 3-4 times a day, 5 ml or 1 teaspoon.
Advice for diabetics: the drug does not contain sucrose. It can be used by people suffering from diabetes. 1 teaspoon (5 ml corresponds to 6.2 g) of syrup contains 3.36 g of Dsorbitol, which corresponds to 0.28 bread units (BE).
Contraindications
The drug should not be used by patients with an allergy to the active substance, including plants of the Araliaceae family, or any of the excipients.
The drug should not be used in children under 2 years of age due to the possibility of increased respiratory symptoms when taking expectorants.
The medicine is not intended for children under 2 years of age.
Storage
Keep the medicine out of the reach of children.
Do not store at temperatures above 25 degrees C.
Do not use this medicine after the expiration date stated on the package. The expiration date means the last day of a given month.
