Excipients:
Maltodextrinis a natural substance of plant origin, a mixture of poly and oligosaccharides. In Inofema, it is used as a carrier in the aroma and vitamin premix, enabling very precise measurement of the dose of folic acid. The amount of maltodextrin contained in 1 sachet of Inofem does not exceed 0.037 g (37 mg) and is not a contraindication, even in the case of diabetes.

What is Inositol?
Inositol is a cyclic six-carbon polyhydroxy alcohol, also known as vitamin B8, and comes in nine isomeric forms. The biologically active form is myo-inositol (meso-inositol), which is a form commonly found in plants and animals. Inositol was first detected over a hundred years ago in the urine of diabetic patients, but its importance was not recognized at that time. It wasn’t until 1941 that Gavin and McHenry discovered its important role in metabolism.
Myo-inositol (hexahydroxycyclohexane or cis-1,2,3,5-trans-4,6-cyclohexanehexol) is a six carbon cyclic polyalcohol containing four equatorially located hydroxyl groups and two such groups located in the axial position. Its direct precursor is fructose-6-phosphate, which is converted into myo-inositol by the enzyme cyclase.
Myo-inositol plays an important role in cell morpho- and cytogenesis, in lipid synthesis, in the construction of cell membranes and in cell development.
Myo-inositol is a precursor in the synthesis of secondary hormone messengers such as GnRH, TSH and insulin.
