Indication
Isotonic solution for rinsing the nose and sinuses is indicated for:
- with inflammation of the paranasal sinuses of various etiology,
- with a runny nose accompanied by allergies or infections,
- before and after nose and sinus surgery,
- to maintain nasal hygiene, rinse the nasal cavity and moisten the nasal mucosa,
- to loosen mucus and remove all kinds of secretions and impurities from the nasal cavity,
- to improve the function of the respiratory defense system.
Due to its osmotic properties on the mucous membrane, the hypertonic solution for rinsing the nose and sinuses reduces swelling of the mucous membrane:
- for a cold associated with allergies or infections,
- with sinusitis.
Method of use of the medical device
- Use 1-2 times a day or as directed by your doctor.
- Children over the age of 4 can only use the set under the supervision of an adult.
- Before the first use, the bottle must be thoroughly washed under running water.
- Preparation of the isotonic solution: Pour a bag of sodium chloride into the bottle and fill the contents of the bottle with boiled, cooled water up to the 240 ml mark on the bottle. Close and shake the bottle until completely dissolved, then cover the opening of the cap with your finger.
- Preparation of hypertonic solution: Put two bags of sodium chloride in the bottle and fill the contents of the bottle with boiled, cooled water up to the 240 ml mark on the bottle. Close and shake the bottle until completely dissolved, then cover the opening of the cap with your finger.
- Stand over a slightly inclined sink and breathe with your mouth open. Place the tip against one of the nostrils.
- With a gentle movement, squeeze the bottle so that approximately half of the solution enters one nostril and lets the solution flow out the other nostril. If the solution gets in your throat, do not swallow it, but spit it out.
- Repeat the action and pour the remaining half of the solution into the other nostril.
- After rinsing, blow your nose.
- Discard any remaining solution in the vial, then thoroughly wash and dry the vial and cap.
Contraindications and precautions
- Do not use in case of complete nasal congestion and/or otitis, hypersensitivity to sodium chloride and open wounds in the nasal area, especially wet, unhealed wounds after operations. If you have ear surgery, consult your doctor before use.
- Do not use boiling, hot or unboiled water for rinsing.
- After rinsing, you should not lie down for at least an hour.
- After rinsing, a slight burning sensation may occur in the nasal cavity.
- The bottle is intended for one user only.
- The product should be stored at a temperature of 15-25°C, out of the reach of children, in a tightly closed package, away from light and moisture.
- The product is intended for use by both medical professionals and the patient himself in medical facilities, hospitals and at home.
- Keep all kit components clean and dry.
- Do not use the product after the expiration date.
