Maxon Active is a drug containing the active ingredient – sildenafil. It belongs to a group of medications called phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors. It helps relax the blood vessels in the penis, increasing blood flow to the penis during sexual arousal. The drug Maxon Active helps to achieve an erection only with prior sexual stimulation. Maxon Active formula was developed to treat erectile dysfunction. Under natural conditions, i.e. in response to sexual arousal, restores the impaired erection mechanism by increasing blood supply to the penis. The physiological mechanism responsible for penile erection is the release of nitric oxide (NO) in the corpora cavernosa during sexual arousal. This causes the smooth muscles of the corpora cavernosa to relax and allow blood to flow into the penis. Maxon Active is a drug intended for oral use.
