Maxon Active contains the active substance – sildenafil, which belongs to the group of drugs from the group of phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors. The drug helps relax the blood vessels in the penis, increasing blood flow to the penis during sexual arousal. Maxon Active helps you achieve an erection only if you are sexually aroused.
DOSAGE/USE:
The recommended dose is 25 mg of sildenafil, taken as needed approximately one hour before planned sexual activity. It is not recommended to use the drug more than once a day. If Maxon Active is taken with food, the onset of action of the drug may be delayed compared to taking the drug on an empty stomach. If the doctor decides to use pharmacological treatment, he may recommend sildenafil 50 mg, taken as needed about an hour before planned sexual activity. Depending on the effectiveness and tolerability of the drug, the doctor may increase the dose to 100 mg or reduce it to 25 mg.
Contraindications: allergy to sildenafil or any other component of the drug. Do not use: if you are taking nitrates, as their simultaneous use can lead to a dangerous decrease in blood pressure; if you are taking medications that release nitric oxide (such as amyl nitrite, so-called poppers), as taking them together can also cause a dangerous drop in blood pressure; if you are taking riociguat; if you have severe heart or liver disease; if you have recently had a stroke or heart attack and have low blood pressure; if you suffer from hereditary degenerative changes of the retina such as retinitis pigmentosa; if you have ever had vision loss due to non-arterial anterior ischemic optic neuropathy.
