Omega 3:
DHA – docosahexaenoic acid, a structural building block of all nerves and cells in the body. DHA is especially abundant in the brain and retina. DHA plays a key role in proper brain and vision development.
ALA – alpha-linolenic acid – is one of the essential unsaturated fatty acids located at the beginning of the metabolic pathway of omega-3 fatty acids. Thus, it is the mother acid from which, among other things, EPA and DHA acids are derived. ALA must come from outside – the body cannot produce it on its own.
EPA is eicosapentaenoic acid, a functional acid necessary for the transfer of information between brain cells. EPA stabilizes the presence of omega-3 DHA and omega-6 AA in the membranes of nerve cells.
Omega-6:
AA is arachidonic acid, a structural building block of cell membranes, as important as DHA. Research shows that AA is especially important for fetal and child growth. It is made from GLA.
LA is linoleic acid, one of the essential unsaturated fatty acids that the body does not produce itself and must obtain from food. This is the parent fatty acid from which, for example, GLA and AA acids are produced.
GLA is gamma-linolenic acid, from which AA is produced in a controlled metabolic process. Evening primrose oil is the most bioavailable source of GLA.
Recommended daily dose
1 capsule per day with meals.
