Indications:
NiQuitin lozenges are indicated for the relief of symptoms resulting from nicotine withdrawal, including the feeling of craving associated with quitting smoking.
Whenever possible, NiQuitin lozenges should be used in conjunction with the smoking cessation program when quitting smoking.
Properties:
NiQuitin preparation in the form of lozenges with a mint flavor makes it easier to quit smoking. It reduces the symptoms associated with smoking cessation, such as: a strong feeling of wanting to smoke, frustration or anger, low mood, irritability, anxiety, insomnia, difficulty concentrating and increased appetite. The reduction rate of smoking cessation symptoms during the 6-week treatment group in the 2 mg nicotine lozenges group was 46% compared to 29.7% in the placebo group. Niquitin lozenges completely dissolve in the mouth, thanks to which the total dose of nicotine contained in them is absorbed through the mucosa of the cheeks. The lozenge is usually completely dissolved after 20-30 minutes. The maximum concentration of nicotine in the blood after a single dose of 2 mg is approximately 4.4 ng / ml. Nicotine is slightly bound to plasma proteins (4.9-20%). It is metabolised primarily in the liver and in the lungs and kidneys to numerous metabolites, the main of which are cotinine and cotinine N-oxide. Nicotine and its metabolites are excreted almost exclusively in the urine.

Use:
Week 1 to 6 – initial treatment period – 1 lozenge every 1-2 hours;
Week 7 to 9 – treatment period with dose reduction – 1 lozenge every 2-4 hours;
Week 10 to 12 – treatment period with dose reduction – 1 lozenge every 4-8 hours.
In order to refrain from smoking for the next 12 weeks, use 1 or 2 lozenges a day only if you strongly feel like smoking a cigarette.
Important information:
Contraindications to the use of NiQuitin 2 mg lozenges:
– hypersensitivity to nicotine or to any of the excipients;
– children and adolescents under the age of 18 and non-smokers;
– people with hypersensitivity to peanuts or soy.

NiQuitin Mini 1.5 mg lozenges are indicated for the treatment of tobacco dependence by relieving symptoms associated with nicotine withdrawal, including feelings of craving, when trying to quit smoking. The ultimate goal of therapy is permanent smoking cessation. Whenever possible, when quitting smoking, NiQuitin Mini lozenges should be used simultaneously with a psychological smoking cessation program.
Contraindications:
Do not use NiQuitin Mini 1.5 mg lozenges: in case of hypersensitivity to nicotine or any of the excipients of the preparation, in children and adolescents under 12 years of age, in non-smokers.
Properties:
NiQuitin Mini 1.5 mg lozenges completely dissolve in the mouth and the entire dose of nicotine contained in them is available for absorption through the mucosa of the cheeks or by swallowing. The complete dissolution of the NiQuitin MINI tablet and the release of the therapeutic dose of nicotine usually takes place within 10 minutes (up to 3 times faster than lozenges and gums). When trying to quit smoking, do not interchange NiQutin MINI tablets with nicotine-containing chewing gum, as pharmacokinetic data indicate greater availability of nicotine from NiQuitin lozenges.
