“Compound:
1 sachet contains: paracetamol 500 mg, guaifenesin 200 mg, phenylephrine hydrochloride 10 mg.
Excipients with known effects:
sucrose 2077 mg, aspartame (E 951) 12 mg, sodium citrate 500 mg (contains 117.3 mg sodium), sodium cyclamate (E 952) 100 mg (contains 11.5 mg sodium).
Action: the drug contains: paracetamol, which has an analgesic effect and reduces body temperature during fever; guaifenesin, which is an expectorant that thins bronchial secretions; phenylephrine, which is a vasoconstrictor that reduces nasal swelling and makes it easier to unblock.
Application:
Adults, elderly patients and children 12 years and older: 1 sachet every 4 hours, as needed.
Do not use more than 4 sachets (4 doses) per day.
If you do not feel better or feel worse after 5 days, contact your doctor.
This medicine should not be given to children under 12 years of age.
Pour the contents of 1 sachet into a standard cup. Fill a cup with 250 ml of hot, but not boiling, water. Stir until dissolved and allow to reach drinking temperature. Drink the solution within one and a half hours.
Contraindications: Do not use this medicine if the patient is: allergic (hypersensitivity) to paracetamol, guaifenesin, phenylephrine or any other ingredient of this medicine; the patient is pregnant or breastfeeding; liver or kidney disease, including alcoholic liver disease; heart disease or cardiovascular problems or blood disorders such as anemia (low red blood cell count); hypertension; hyperthyroidism; diabetes; pheochromocytoma; glaucoma, including angle-closure glaucoma; problems with urination; is taking or has used antidepressants called monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) in the past 14 days—medicines such as phenelzine and isocarboxazid; uses tricyclic antidepressants; uses beta blockers; takes other medications containing paracetamol; if you are currently taking other decongestants and stimulants (such as ephedrine, amphetamines and xylometazolines); uses medications to suppress dry cough.”
