Indications
The new formula is based on mineral oil and dimethicone, which allows for a double range of action, consisting in suffocation (killing) and drying of lice and nits. The amount of product used translates into the number of lice and nits removed after application and affects the effectiveness of the treatment. Therefore, it is recommended to use a specific dose of the product and carefully comb the hair to ensure that head lice and nits are removed. The capacity of the preparations in the 100 ml bottle is enough for 4 applications, depending on the length of the hair, which is quite enough to remove the infection in a single person (2 applications recommended).
Dosage
Step 1: checking for head lice. Check the hair of all family members by combing it thoroughly with a fine-toothed comb (Paranit), preferably in daylight. Treat all lice sufferers on the same day to avoid re-infestation.
1. It is easier to check dry hair.
2. First, comb the hair to remove any tangles, and then check the hair strand by strand.
3. Check the hair at the roots, behind the ears and on the nape of the neck, as lice and nits are usually found in these places. After each use, wash the comb in lukewarm soapy water to avoid another attack.
Step 2: applying the Paranit spray Hold the spray at a distance of 10 cm from the hair and carefully spread the appropriate amount of Paranit solution evenly on dry hair. The preparation should be applied to the entire hair and scalp. Then massage it thoroughly from the roots to the ends of the hair, paying particular attention to the neck and the skin behind the ears. The massaged preparation should be left for 15 minutes.
Step 3: hair washing – Wash your hair with Paranit medicinal shampoo or regular shampoo and rinse thoroughly. Wash again if necessary.
Step 4: removal of lice and nits – Before drying your hair, comb it thoroughly with a fine-tooth comb (Paranit) to remove all lice and nits.
1- Comb wet hair with a fine-toothed comb.
2- Divide the hair into 4 parts: from the forehead to the nape of the neck and from one ear to the other. In the case of long hair, each part can be braided.
3- In each section, divide the hair into small locks so that the scalp is visible.
4- Comb each lock, starting closest to the scalp.
5- Using a comb, remove any nits found.
6- Each lock of hair without nits should be flipped to one side.
7- To avoid a repeat attack, clean the comb with a cotton pad after each lock and always comb the hair from the top of the head to the bottom.
Step 5: repeat treatment after 7 days – After 7 days, repeat treatment as described in steps 1 to 4. This will ensure complete disruption of the lice life cycle. Any nits that may have hatched after the first treatment can now be eliminated. There is no risk associated with repeating the therapy several times.
Step 6: disinfecting the environment – To disinfect clothes, bed linen, towels and other items (brushes, combs, etc.) that came into direct contact with the head should be washed at 60°C. You should also thoroughly vacuum your apartment and car, and then remove and throw away the vacuum cleaner bag.
