Passedyl syrup , intended for children and infants, is a medicine indicated in the treatment of productive coughs . Passedyl is a modifier of bronchial secretions. Passedyl syrup is used in cases of recent respiratory disease with difficulty expectorating (difficulty in coughing up bronchial secretions) in children and infants.
The medicine Passedyl contains 1.174 g of sulfogaiacol and 2.268 g of sodium benzoate per 100 ml of syrup. The alcohol content (V/V) is 3.8°.
1 teaspoon of Passedyl contains 3.1 g of sucrose and 150 mg of ethanol.
The other ingredients are Grindelia Tincture, Tolu syrup concentrate, Polygala syrup concentrate, natural orange blossom flavor, sodium methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E 218), caramel flavor, citric acid monohydrate, sucrose solution and purified water.
