Novama Pingo Aspirator
The interchangeable sizes of the tips of the Novama Pingo Aspirator allow you to adjust both to the type of runny nose and the age of the child (size of the nostrils) – thanks to this, effective suctioning and proper sealing are possible even in the case of a thick, troublesome runny nose .
Larger tips are recommended for older children in cases where the runny nose has a thick secretion. We use the smaller tips in younger children when the nasal secretion is diluted and runny. Choosing the right size of the overlay is of great importance, because choosing an overlay that is too large can irritate the nasal mucosa, cause bleeding, irritation and pain.
Two operating modes
Vacuum application can be intermittent or continuous. The method of suction, its length and nature can be adapted to the momentary needs: uninterrupted work allows you to finish the suction. In cases where the child feels unwell, suctioning can be stopped at any time.
Convenient to use
The device has an ergonomic shape that makes it easier to hold it in the correct position, thanks to which the method of application is intuitive and safe. During aspiration, keep the baby’s head straight (vertical) and insert the tip into one of the baby’s nostrils. Be careful not to push the tip too far into the nostril or to push against the back wall of the nasal cavity. Try to keep the aspirator in such a position that the tip is perpendicular to the surface of the child’s face. Do not point the tip up into the child’s nostril. Wait for the aspirator to draw in the secretions. If necessary, repeat the operation in the other nostril or perform it again.
Aspiration, especially in the youngest children, can cause discomfort, fear and sometimes even pain (choosing too large an overlay, improper use of the aspirator). The Pingo aspirator has been designed specifically for children to reduce unpleasant sensations. The aspirator has the opportunity to comfort the child with a song, one of the 12 selected melodies. Just press the music button (button with a note), you can also turn off this function, e.g. at night.
