“Piracetam AL is used to treat symptoms of chronic brain deterioration in adults as part of the general treatment of dementia syndromes.
Dosage
Adults usually take 1 piracetam AL 800 film-coated tablet 3 times daily or 1 piracetam AL 1200 tablet twice daily (2.4 g piracetam/day). The dose can be increased to 2 tablets of piracetam AL 800 3 times a day or 2 tablets of piracetam AL 1200 2 times a day (4.8 g piracetam/day) only on the advice of a doctor. This dose should not be exceeded.
Use in children
When prescribing Piracetam AL as a maintenance medication to children and adolescents with reading disabilities, the dosage is always determined by your doctor, usually 2 Piracetam AL 800 film-coated tablets twice daily or 1 film-coated tablet twice daily and Piracetam AL Film-Coated Tablets 1200 once a day.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the active substance or any of the excipients.
Patients with bleeding in the brain (eg, hemorrhagic stroke).
Patients with severe end-stage renal failure.
Patients with Huntington’s disease.”
