- Gaviscon Strawberry Tablets belongs to a group of medicines called “reflux suppressors”, which form a protective layer on the surface of stomach contents to prevent stomach acid from escaping from the stomach into the esophagus, where it causes pain and discomfort. This medicine is used to treat symptoms of gastro-oesophageal reflux, such as acid regurgitation, heartburn and indigestion associated with reflux, for example after meals or during of pregnancy, or in patients with symptoms related to reflux esophagitis.
