Difficulty falling asleep and staying asleep that require medication.
Notice:
Not all sleep disorders require medication. They are often a manifestation of physical or mental illnesses and can be affected by other measures or therapy for the underlying disease. Therefore, if sleep disorders persist for a long time, long-term treatment with the drug should not be carried out, but a doctor should be consulted.
Dosage
Unless otherwise indicated, adults should take 1 tablet (equivalent to 25 mg doxylamine succinate) approximately ½ to 1 hour before bedtime. If you have severe sleep disorders, you can take a maximum dose of 2 tablets (equivalent to 50 mg doxylamine succinate).
How long should you take the medicine?
In case of acute sleep disorders, treatment should be limited to individual doses if possible.
The medicine should not be taken
if you have hypersensitivity (allergy) to doxylamine or other antihistamines or any of the other ingredients
in acute asthma attacks
in glaucoma (narrow-angle glaucoma)
in adrenal gland tumor (pheochromocytoma)
in prostate enlargement (prostatic hypertrophy) with residual urine formation
in acute poisoning with alcohol, sleeping pills or painkillers, as well as psychotropic drugs (neuroleptics, tranquilizers, antidepressants, lithium)
in convulsive disorders
in concomitant treatment with monoamine oxidase inhibitors”
