Areas of application
The drug is a urospasmolytic.
It is used for the symptomatic treatment of frequent urination, irresistible urge to urinate and urinary incontinence.
Dosage
Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose is:
Adults and children over 12 years of age take 1 film-coated tablet. tablet 3-4 times a day. This corresponds to a daily dose of 600-800 mg Flavoxate hydrochloride.
To prevent discomfort during urinary catheter examination or uroscopy, 1 film-coated tablet is administered 1-2 hours before the examination.
Contraindications
The drug should not be taken
if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to flavoxate hydrochloride or any other ingredient,
with fast-type cardiac arrhythmias,
with reflux esophagitis,
with narrowing changes in the gastrointestinal tract,
with bleeding in the stomach – in the intestinal area (black stool),
in case of narrowing or obstruction of the lower urinary tract,
in case of frequent urination that cannot be suppressed, which is caused by heart or kidney disease.”
