Applications
For the treatment of overweight and obesity. Sterolsan is intended for adults with a body mass index (BMI) over 25 in combination with a calorie-restricted diet.
Recommended dosage:
Take 2 Sterolsan tablets twice a day during two meals with the highest fat content.
For weight control, the dose can be reduced to 2 tablets per day.
Take the tablets whole with plenty of low-calorie liquid (at least 250 ml) to ensure transport to the stomach.
Sterolsan is very well tolerated and can be taken for a long time.
Since Sterolsan is a fiber-rich drug, make sure you drink enough liquid – at least 2 liters per day.
To ensure the need for essential fatty acids and fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E and K), we recommend taking Sterolsan only during 2 of the 3 main meals. To do this, you need to eat at least one meal daily with high-quality oils that supply the body with fat-soluble vitamins and essential fatty acids. Multivitamin supplements can also meet your vitamin needs.
Notes
• Sterolsan should not be taken by people with a known allergy to crustaceans or any of the ingredients, by underweight people (BMI < 18.5 kg/m²), pregnant and breastfeeding women, people with chronic constipation, intestinal obstruction, etc. and long-term use of drugs that reduce intestinal activity.
• Sterolsan should only be taken after consultation with a doctor in case of long-term medication, in case of serious gastrointestinal diseases and after gastrointestinal surgery, as well as in the very elderly (over 80 years).
• Due to the fat-binding capacity of Sterolsan, in addition to dietary fats, (fat-soluble) active pharmaceutical ingredients (e.g. antiepileptic drugs, blood thinners, hormonal drugs) or fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, K) can be bound. In this case, it is recommended to wait at least four hours between taking Sterolsan.
