“Composition
Active ingredient: bacterial concentrate with Escherichia coli bacteria (DSM 17252, cells and autolysate), corresponding to 1.5 – 4.5 x 10 7 live cells.
1 ml = 14 drops
Other ingredients: sodium chloride, magnesium sulfate heptahydrate, potassium chloride, calcium chloride dihydrate, magnesium chloride hexahydrate and purified water.
The medicine is a bacterial preparation for use in irritable bowel syndrome (irritable bowel).
Dosage
The recommended dose is:
Adults should take 10 drops three times a day with meals at the beginning of treatment. After a week, the dose is increased to 20 drops three times a day. If at the beginning of treatment gastrointestinal symptoms such as flatulence, diarrhea, abdominal pain or discomfort worsen or occur more frequently, Symbioflor ® 2 should be taken diluted in water or in smaller quantities, or the number of drops should be increased more slowly.
The recommended period of use is 8 weeks. If symptoms worsen during treatment or persist after 8 weeks of treatment, seek medical advice.
Use in children and adolescents.
No dosage can be recommended since the safety and effectiveness of Symbioflor ® 2 in children and adolescents have not yet been established.
Contraindications:
The medicine must not be taken
if you are allergic to Escherichia coli bacteria or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
if you have serious organic diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, such as acute inflammation of the gallbladder, pancreas or intestinal obstruction.
if you have very severe abnormal weight loss or excessive weight loss due to malnutrition (cachexia, marasmus).”
