“Terbistad 1% cream contains the active ingredient terbinafine hydrochloride and belongs to the group of antifungal agents. Terbistad cream 1% is used to treat fungal and yeast skin infections.
Terbistad cream 1% is effective against several types of yeast and skin fungi, the most famous of which is the so-called athlete’s foot (tinea pedis).
If you feel unwell within 7 to 14 days, or if your symptoms worsen, you should contact your doctor.
Terbistad cream 1% is for topical use only. This product should not come into contact with the eyes as it may cause irritation. In case of accidental contact with eyes, rinse eyes thoroughly with running water.
Terbistad cream 1% is not recommended for use in children under 12 years of age due to limited experience with this age group. Keep this medicine out of the reach of children.
Terbistad cream 1% contains cetyl and stearyl alcohols. These substances may cause local skin reactions (eg contact dermatitis).
Application and dosage:
This medication is for topical use only. Before applying the cream, the skin must be thoroughly washed and dried.
Apply a thin layer of cream to the affected skin area and surrounding area. Gently rub the cream into the skin.
If the area to be treated is in a skin fold (under the breast, between the toes or hands, in the groin or between the buttocks), the skin can be covered with sterile gauze, especially at night. Then wash your hands, unless, of course, the area to be treated is not on your hands.

Athlete’s foot (tinea pedis): 1 time per day for 1 week.
Symptoms that may be classified under the term “”athlete’s foot”” include itching, redness, and flaking of the skin between the toes and feet. Sometimes cracks appear (especially between the toes) and blisters may even appear. Athlete’s foot usually produces an unpleasant odor.
Other dermatophytosis – lichen (Tinea corporis): 1 time per day for 1 week.
Ringworm consists of slow-growing, itchy, red and scaly, circular patches that can spread throughout the body.
Skin candidiasis – skin fungus (yeast disease): 1 time per day for 1–2 weeks.
Candida is a type of yeast that can cause skin infections under certain circumstances. Skin abnormalities often occur in warm, moist areas, such as weak areas or under the breasts. Symptoms include itching, redness and flaking.
Pityriasis – bran ringworm (Pityriasis versicolor): 1 or 2 times a day for 2 weeks.
The yeast that causes tinea versicolor is Malassezia furfur. With this yeast infection, the infection occurs on the skin of the upper arms, torso, and upper arms. Symptoms include mild itching and scabby patches. People who are deeply tanned tend to have patches that are lighter than the rest of their skin, while people who have little or no sun exposure tend to have patches that are light brown.
In general, symptoms improve within a few days. Infrequent use or early cessation of treatment increases the likelihood of symptoms returning. If you do not notice any improvement after one to two weeks, tell your doctor or pharmacist.
