Activir 5% cream is a medication recommended for the treatment of localized cold sore outbreaks (also called ” cold sores “). It is indicated for adults and children over 6 years old.
Its active substance is aciclovir , dosed at 5.00 g per 100 g of cream.
The other components that enter into its formula are: propylene glycol, poloxamer 407, sodium lauryl sulfate, cetostearyl alcohol, petrolatum, dimeticone 20, liquid paraffin, purified water, glycerol monostearate, macrogol stearate 100.
The excipients with known effects are propylene glycol and cetostearyl alcohol.
