“TADALAFIL MAXON contains the active substance tadalafil, which belongs to a group of drugs called phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors (PDE5). After sexual stimulation, TADALAFIL MAXON supports the dilation of the blood vessels of the penis, ensuring blood flow and leading to an erection. TADALAFIL MAXON does not help patients who do not suffer from erectile dysfunction. The condition for the effectiveness of TADALAFIL MAXON is sexual stimulation. The patient and his partner should be aware of sexual arousal as if the patient were not taking erectile dysfunction medication.
Dosage
Always use this medication exactly as described in this leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. If you have any doubts, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
TADALAFIL MAXON tablets are intended for oral use by men only.
The tablets should be swallowed whole with a small amount of water. The tablets can be taken with or without food.Adamed
The recommended dose is one 10 mg tablet taken before planned sexual activity. If you feel that the effect of TADALAFIL MAXON is too strong or too weak, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. After consultation, your doctor may recommend a different dosage method. TADALAFIL MAXON tablets are intended for oral use. TADALAFIL MAXON can be taken at least 30 minutes before planned sexual activity. TADALAFIL MAXON may remain effective for 36 hours after taking the tablet. TADALAFIL MAXON is intended for use before planned sexual activity. The medicine should be used ad hoc, as needed. Do not use more than once a week. TADALAFIL MAXON should not be used concomitantly with other oral or topical medications used to treat erectile dysfunction. TADALAFIL MAXON should not be used concomitantly with the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) using sildenafil or other PDE5 inhibitors. Within 48 hours after taking TADALAFIL MAXON, you should not take medications containing sildenafil used to treat erectile dysfunction or pulmonary hypertension. TADALAFIL MAXON should not be taken unless you have erectile dysfunction. It is important to realize that sexual stimulation is a condition for the effectiveness of TADALAFIL MAXON. The patient and his partner should be aware of sexual arousal, just as if the patient is not taking medication for erectile dysfunction. Drinking alcohol can affect your ability to achieve an erection and cause a temporary drop in blood pressure. If you have taken or are planning to take TADALAFIL MAXON, you should not drink large amounts of alcohol (blood alcohol concentration 0.08% or higher) as this may increase the risk of feeling dizzy when standing up. The cut line on the tablet is not intended to break it.
Contraindications
When you should not use TADALAFIL MAXON:
– if you are allergic to tadalafil or any other ingredient of this medicine.
– if you take organic nitrates in any form or other nitric oxide donors, such as amyl nitrite. These are a group of medications (“nitrates”) used to treat angina (“chest pain”). Tadalafil has been shown to enhance the effects of these drugs. If you are taking any form of nitrates or are unsure, tell your doctor.
– if your doctor has advised you to avoid sexual activity.
– if you have severe heart disease or have had a heart attack within the last 90 days.
– if you have had a stroke within the last 6 months.
– if you have low blood pressure or uncontrolled high blood pressure, or uncontrolled heart rhythm problems.
– if you have ever had vision loss due to non-arterial anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION), known as “”ocular palsy””.
– if you are taking riociguat. This is a medication used to treat pulmonary hypertension (i.e., high blood pressure in the lungs) and chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (i.e., high pressure in the lungs caused by blood clots). PDE5 inhibitors such as tadalafil have been shown to enhance the blood pressure-lowering effects of this drug. If you are taking riociguat or are unsure, tell your doctor.”
