“Neosin forte is a drug with antiviral and immunostimulating properties. The drug contains a double dose of the active substance inosine pranobex in one tablet and is available without a prescription. Recommended as a supportive remedy for people with reduced immunity and for recurrent upper respiratory tract infections. In addition, inosine suppresses the reproduction of viruses from the herpes group that are pathogenic for humans and cause herpes on the lips and facial skin.
Indications: infections of the skin and mucous membranes caused by herpes simplex virus type I (labial herpes) or type II (genital herpes), chicken pox and herpes zoster; other infections caused by viruses (for example, subacute sclerosing encephalitis, a complication of measles); as an adjuvant for people with reduced immunity, with recurrent upper respiratory tract infections.AFLOFARM
Dosage
Adults, including the elderly (over 65 years): 50 mg per kg body weight per day (usually 1 g, i.e. 1 tablet 3 times a day). Do not take more than 4 tablets per day.
Children over 1 year: 50 mg per kg body weight per day, in several divided doses. For children who cannot swallow tablets, it is recommended to give Neosin forte in syrup.
Treatment usually lasts from 5 to 14 days. It is recommended to continue taking the medication for 1 to 2 days after the symptoms of the disease disappear. In children and adolescents with reduced immunity: the drug should be used 10 days a month for the next 3 months.
