Active ingredients: liquid extract of thyme herb (Thymus vulgaris), tincture of primrose root (Primula veris), sulfogaiacolum.
Excipients: non-crystallizing liquid sorbitol (E420).
The drug contains 6.4–9.0% (v/v) ethanol.
Dosage
Typically used doses of Herbapect syrup:
Children over 4 years old and adolescents under 18 years old – 2.5 ml of syrup 3 – 4 times a day. No more often than every 4 hours.
Adults – 5 ml of syrup 3 – 4 times a day.
The package includes a measuring cup to facilitate dosing, which should be used to measure the medicine.
Herbapect after meals.
The medicine should not be used for more than 7 days. If there is no improvement after 7 days or the patient becomes worse, consult a doctor.
Action
Herbapect is an expectorant syrup. The plant extracts it contains (thyme herb, primrose root) are traditionally used as expectorants. An additional ingredient is sulfoguaiacol, which also has expectorant properties.
