Scope
The drug is an analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory agent
It is used for:
Mild to moderate pain
High temperature
Dosage
The recommended dose is:
Age: young people from 12 years and older* and adults.
Single dose: 2 effervescent tablets.
Total daily dose: up to 8 effervescent tablets.
* Acetylsalicylic acid should be used in children and adolescents under 12 years of age only on the recommendation of a doctor. Please note the information for children and adolescents (see “”Children and adolescents”” in the “”Patient information”” category).
Duration of use
If necessary, a single dose can be taken at intervals of 4-8 hours up to 3 times a day.
Do not take the product for more than 4 days.
Contraindications
Alka-Seltzer classic should not be taken.
if you have hypersensitivity (allergy) to acetylsalicylic acid, other salicylates or any other ingredient of this medicine;
if you have had asthma attacks or other hypersensitivity reactions to certain drugs for pain, fever or inflammation (salicylates or other non-al anti-inflammatory drugs);
with acute ulcers of the stomach and intestines;
with a pathologically increased tendency to bleeding;
with liver and kidney failure;
with severe weakness of the heart muscle (heart failure) that does not respond to drug treatment;
if you also take methotrexate at a dose of 15 mg or more per week;
in the last 3 months of pregnancy.”
