“Composition
Active ingredients:
17.5 mg almotriptan malate
12.5 mg almotriptan
Excipients:
Microcrystalline cellulose, mannitol, carboxymethyl starch, sodium type A, povidone K29-32, sodium stearyl fumarate, hypromellose, titanium dioxide, macrogol 400, carnauba wax
Areas of application
– Migraine attack
Dosage
For acute treatment – single dose:
Adult 1 tablet 1 tablet at the beginning of the attack
Within 24 hours, the second dose can be administered no earlier than 2 hours later if symptoms recur.
Maximum dose: do not exceed 2 tablets per day.
Patients with renal insufficiency: after consultation with your doctor, you may need to reduce the single or total dose or increase the dosing interval.
Contraindications
– Hypersensitivity to the ingredients
– Ischemic heart disease (circulatory problems in the heart muscle)
– History of myocardial infarction
– Angina
– Prinzmetal’s angina (a special form of angina)
– High blood pressure
– History of stroke
– Circulatory problems in the brain, including a history of (transient ischemic attack)
– Circulatory problems in the periphery (e.g. arms, legs)
– Severe liver dysfunction
– Special forms of migraine (without headache), such as:
– Basilar migraine (severe dizziness, speech impairment and visual impairment)
– Familial hemiplegic migraine (long aura phase, during which paralysis on one side may occur)
– Ophthalmic migraine (impaired eye muscles)”
