Applications
The drug is a treatment for fungal diseases (antimycotic).
The drug is used for skin infections caused by dermatophytes, yeast, mold and other pathogens. such as Malassezia furfur or Corynebacterium minutissimum, such as:
Mycoses of the skin and skin folds (Tinea corporis and Tinea inguinalis)
Mycoses between the fingers and toes (Tinea pedis, Tinea manuum)
Versatile lichen
superficial yeast infections (candidiasis) of the skin
dwarf lichen (erythrasma).
Dosage
The usual dose is:
Apply the medicine to the affected areas of the skin once a day. Approximately 1 g of cream (corresponding to a thread length of 0.5-1 cm) is usually sufficient for application to a palm-sized area.
Duration of use:
Regular and sufficiently long-term use of this preparation is important for the success of the treatment. The duration of treatment varies and depends, among other things, on the extent and location of the disease. In order to achieve complete healing, treatment with the preparation should not be stopped immediately after the disappearance of acute inflammatory symptoms or subjective symptoms. The duration of treatment for fungal skin diseases is usually 2-4 weeks.
Contraindications
The drug should not be used
in case of hypersensitivity (allergy) to bifonazole or any other component of the drug.”
