Areas of application
The drug is an analgesic, antipyretic (pain reliever and antipyretic).
It is used for the symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain and/or fever.
Dosage
The dosage depends on the information in the table below. Paracetamol is prescribed depending on age and body weight, usually 10 to 15 mg/kg body weight as a single dose, up to a maximum of 60 mg/kg body weight as a total daily dose.
The appropriate dosing interval depends on the symptoms and the maximum total daily dose. It should not be less than 6 hours.
If symptoms persist for more than 3 days, a doctor should be consulted.
Body weight (age): 7 kg (6 – 7 months)
Single dose (equivalent to paracetamol): 1 suppository (equivalent to 125 mg paracetamol).
Maximum daily dose (24 hours) (equivalent to paracetamol): 3 suppositories (equivalent to 375 mg paracetamol).
Body weight (age): 8 kg – 12 kg (7 months – 2 years)
Single dose (equivalent to paracetamol): 1 suppository (equivalent to 125 mg paracetamol).
Maximum daily dose (24 hours) (equivalent to paracetamol): 4 suppositories (equivalent to 500 mg paracetamol).
The maximum daily dose (24 hours) specified in the table must not be exceeded under any circumstances.
Contraindications
The medicine should not be used
if you or your child are allergic to paracetamol or any other ingredient.”
