Indication:
The drug is a urological drug.
It serves:
alkalization of urine in cases of uric acid stones with or without concomitant calcium stones.
metaphylaxis (aftercare) in calcium stones (prevention of neoplasm formation and/or prevention of increase in the size of the remaining fragments)

As prescribed by a doctor, the drug should be dosed in accordance with its action, i.e. it is necessary to determine the individual dosage that brings the urine into the optimal pH range (see the following sections).
Alkalinization of urine in uric acid stones:
The pH value of fresh urine must be brought to the range of 6.2-6.8 to prevent recurrence (recurrence prevention or metaphylaxis).
The daily dose required for this may vary for each patient. As a rule, a daily dose of 3 effervescent tablets, divided into three equal doses during the day, is recommended. If the daily urine pH profile falls below pH 6.2, the dosage should be increased accordingly. This correction is preferably carried out by increasing the evening dose to 2 effervescent tablets, in exceptional cases – to 3 effervescent tablets. If the pH value exceeds 6.8, the dose must be reduced. This correction is also preferably carried out with the evening dose.
For chemical dissolution of uric acid stones (chemolitholysis), the pH value of fresh urine must be brought to the range of 7.0-7.2.
Metaphylaxis of calcium stones and alkalinization of urine in uric acid stones with the simultaneous presence of calcium stones:
For fresh urine, a pH range of 6.8-7.4 should be established. To achieve this pH range, an individual dosage is required, usually 3 effervescent tablets. If necessary, the dosage can be increased, although 5 effervescent tablets are usually sufficient.
The daily dose of 3 effervescent tablets can be taken once in the evening or in three equal doses during the day. If a higher dose is required, it is recommended to divide it into three separate doses, each with one effervescent tablet in the morning and at lunch and 2-3 effervescent tablets in the evening.
Duration of use:
Depending on the size of the stone, treatment from four weeks to six months is required to dissolve it.
The duration of use should always be determined by the attending physician.
Individually selected interval therapy has proven its effectiveness in preventing relapses.
Contraindications:
The medicine must not be taken/used
if you are allergic to any other ingredient of the effervescent tablets.
if you have impaired renal function
if you suffer from urinary tract infections caused by bacteria that break down urea (risk of struvite stones).
if you suffer from metabolic alkalosis
if you suffer from a rare hereditary disease with elevated potassium levels (episodic hereditary adynamia).
Children under 12 years of age should be excluded from treatment, since there is insufficient experience for this age group.”
