“Canesten GYN Combi Pack is a combination pack containing 1 vaginal tablet with applicator for vaginal administration and 20 g of cream for dermal administration.
Canesten GYN Combi Pack is a product that relieves itching and irritation in the intimate area while treating yeast infections directly in the vagina. Therefore, it is suitable for the combined treatment of internal and external manifestations of infection. The package contains 1 vaginal tablet with the active ingredient clotrimazole, which treats thrush from the inside, while the cream effectively relieves irritation of the external intimate areas.
The tablet is easily inserted into the vagina using a convenient and hygienic applicator. The cream is also suitable for treating a partner.
The cream should be used two to three times a day for 1-2 weeks until symptoms disappear completely.
Canesten – vaginal tablets are used to treat gynecological inflammation caused by fungal microorganisms, yeast, especially the genus Candida. In addition, it is effective against vaginal infections caused by gram-positive microbes, especially streptococci and staphylococci, Gardnerella vaginalis and gram-negative microbes (Bacteroides).
Canesten – Cream is a broad-spectrum antifungal agent intended for external use only. Active against a number of pathogenic fungal microorganisms, including dermatophytes, yeast and fungi. It also works against certain types of bacteria. Canesten cream is used to treat infections of the skin and mucous membranes caused by yeast, fungi and some bacteria.
The Canesten GYN Combi Pack is intended for adults and teenagers aged 12 years and older.
Canesten GYN Combi Pack (Canesten cream) contains cetostearyl alcohol, which may cause local skin reactions (eg contact dermatitis).
Canesten GYN Combi Pack (Canesten cream) contains 20 mg of benzyl alcohol per 1 gram of cream. Benzyl alcohol may cause allergic reactions and mild local irritation.
Application and dosage:
Canesten – vaginal tablets should be inserted only into the vagina. The tablet is inserted into the vagina using an applicator.
How to use the applicator?
1. Remove the applicator from the packaging and pull out the plunger completely. Place the vaginal tablet firmly into the applicator.
2. Insert the tablet applicator as deeply as possible into the vagina, preferably lying on your back with your legs slightly bent.
3. Press the plunger all the way to insert the tablet into the vagina. Remove the applicator.
During pregnancy, the vaginal tablet must be inserted without the use of an applicator.
Canesten vaginal tablet is administered into the vagina once, preferably before bedtime. Canesten cream is applied in a thin layer to the affected areas around the vagina and rectum 2-3 times a day (usually about half an inch of cream is enough for a palm-sized area). Use the cream for 1-2 weeks.
Before each use of the cream, the affected area should be thoroughly washed and dried.
If your symptoms do not improve or worsen within 7 days of starting treatment with Canesten GYN Combi Pack, consult your doctor.
Treatment should not be carried out during menstruation. Treatment should be stopped before menstruation begins.
Active Ingredients:
Tablet: Clotrimazole, each vaginal tablet contains 500 mg of clotrimazole.
Excipients: calcium lactate pentahydrate, crospovidone, colloidal anhydrous silicon dioxide, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, corn starch, hypromellose 2910/15, microcrystalline cellulose, lactic acid.
Cream: clotrimazole. 1 g of cream contains 10 mg of clotrimazole.
Excipients: benzyl alcohol, spermaceti, cetostearyl alcohol, octyldodecanol, polysorbate 60, sorbitan stearate, purified water.
Package contents: 1 vaginal tablet with applicator + cream 20 g.”
