Indications
This medicinal product contains Indian Psyllium Husk (ground), a herbal bulking agent that regulates stool.
It is used:
– longer – long-term (chronic) constipation (constipation),
– for diseases in which easier bowel movement with soft stool is desirable, for example, with ruptures of the skin of the anal canal (anal fissures), hemorrhoids, after surgery in the rectum,
– for maintenance treatment of diarrhea of various causes,
– for irritable bowel syndrome.
Dosage
Adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over take one sachet 2-3 times daily after mixing with plenty of liquid (at least 150 ml).
When used as a maintenance therapy for diarrhea and irritable bowel syndrome, adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over take one sachet 2 to 6 times daily after mixing with plenty of liquid (at least 150 ml).
Duration of treatment
If constipation and irregular bowel movements persist for 1 week or if diarrhea lasts more than 2 days or is accompanied by blood or fever, consult a doctor.
Contraindications
This medicine should not be taken,
– if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to flea seeds (Plantago, Psyllium) or any other ingredients of the drug,
– in severe cases of stool hardening (fecal stones, stool accumulation),
– in case of discomfort and pain in the abdomen, nausea and vomiting until clarification reasons by a doctor,
– after a sudden change in bowel habits that lasts more than 2 weeks,
– after taking a laxative without defecation,
– if blood has passed through the anus / anus,
– with difficulty swallowing and nausea,
– with pathological narrowing of the esophagus, the entrance to the stomach or in the gastrointestinal tract,
– with threatening or existing intestinal obstruction (intestinal obstruction) or pathological enlargement of the colon (megacolon syndrome),
– with disturbances in water-salt balance (electrolyte balance),
– for diseases that are associated with limited fluid intake,
– for difficult to control forms of diabetes mellitus.”
