“Compound
The active ingredients of the drug are: codeine (Codeini phosphas hemihidricus) and thyme herb (Thymi herba pulveratum).
1 tablet contains 10 mg of codeine phosphate hemihydrate and 316 mg of crushed thyme herb.
Excipients: lactose monohydrate, potato starch, povidone K-30, macrogol 6000, talc, anise essential oil.
Dosage
The drug is intended for oral use.
Do not use the medicine for more than 7 days.
Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age: 1-2 tablets 3 times a day.
Action
Neoazarin has an antitussive effect due to its effect on the “cough center” – it reduces the frequency of coughing.
Indications
Qatar of the upper respiratory tract during severe attacks of paroxysmal cough, including attacks of night cough.
Contraindications
You should not use Neoazarin: if you are allergic to the active substances or any other ingredients of the drug; in people under 12 years of age; with accelerated metabolism of codeine into morphine; during breastfeeding; if the patient suffers from respiratory failure, acute attacks of bronchial asthma, breathing problems, chronic constipation; longer than 7 days.
Side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine may cause side effects, although not everyone gets them.
Frequency unknown: dry mouth, vomiting, nausea, constipation, sleep disturbances, allergic reactions, including skin reactions.
Warnings and Precautions
The medicine contains lactose.
Codeine is converted to morphine in the liver by an enzyme. Some people have a variant of this enzyme that can cause different effects on them.
It is not recommended for use in children over 12 years of age with breathing problems.
