Dosage
The following mode is traditionally used:
Adults: PO once daily, 5 ml (approximately 1 teaspoon liquid) in 1/4 cup water.
Indications
Traditionally as a means of relieving temporary symptoms of mental exhaustion.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to St. John’s wort or other plants of the St. John’s wort family (Guttiferae). It is not recommended to use St. John’s wort extracts for people with hypersensitivity to sunlight, UV radiation, or after organ transplantation. Not recommended for use in patients with fever, liver disease, epilepsy or alcoholism.
Side effects
In particularly sensitive people, after skin contact with raw materials or after their consumption, photosensitivity (photosensitivity) may occur, characterized by skin changes (rash, erythema, skin inflammation that appears up to 24 hours after exposure to UV). If the above symptoms appear, you should stop using the drug. Other allergic reactions, gastrointestinal problems, headaches, and feelings of tiredness or restlessness may also occur.”
