Ibuprofen 400 mg

Areas of application
The drug is used for short-term symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain and/or fever.
Dosage
The recommended dose is:
Adults and young people weighing 40 kg or more (12 years and older)
Half a tablet (200 mg) or a whole tablet (400 mg) once.
If needed, additional doses of half or whole tablets may be taken.
The appropriate interval between doses depends on your symptoms and the maximum total daily dose. It should not be less than 6 hours. Do not take more than 3 tablets (1200 mg ibuprofen) in 24 hours.
This medicine is not intended for use in children under 12 years of age or adolescents weighing less than 40 kg.
Side effects can be minimized by using the lowest effective dose needed to control symptoms for the shortest possible time.
If you have liver or kidney disease or are an elderly person, your doctor will tell you the correct dose, which will be the lowest possible.
Use in adults
In adults, if this medicine is needed for more than 3 days for fever or more than 4 days for pain, or if symptoms worsen, a doctor should be consulted.
Use in young adults
If use of this medicine is needed in adolescents for more than 3 days or symptoms worsen, a doctor should be consulted.
Duration of use:
This medicine is for short-term use only.
Contraindications
Do not take the film-coated tablets if you
are allergic to ibuprofen or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
have an unexplained blood disorder.
you have or have had stomach/duodenal ulcers (peptic ulcers) or bleeding (at least 2 different episodes of proven ulcers or bleeding) that have occurred repeatedly in the past.
have a history of gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation due to previous treatment with NSAIDs.
you have an active bleeding in the brain (cerebrovascular haemorrhage) or other active bleeding.
suffer from severe liver or kidney dysfunction or severe weakness of the heart muscle (heart failure).
are severely dehydrated (for example, due to vomiting, diarrhoea or insufficient fluid intake).
are in the last three months of pregnancy.”
