Application areas
The drug is a fungicidal agent for external treatment of fungal diseases of the skin and scalp (antimycotic).
The drug is used for pityriasis versicolor. This is a skin disease caused by the yeast fungi Pityrosporum orbiclee or ovale (previously called Malassezia Furfur).
Dosage
The recommended dose is:
First, wash your hair and entire body. Then apply the solution to damp scalp, still damp, affected areas of the body and the rest of the body. Do not forget the armpits, skin folds and spaces between the toes. If possible, ask a second person to treat your back.
Use a third of the contents of the sachet for the scalp, affected areas of the body and the rest of the body.
Duration of use:
Apply the treatment before going to bed three nights in a row. The contents of the entire sachet are intended for one application.
Symptoms of pityriasis versicolor usually disappear within a 3-day treatment period. In stubborn cases, the treatment should be continued for 6 days. If you have had pityriasis versicolor before or have affected large areas of skin, a 6-day course of treatment is also recommended.
If necessary, you should show your doctor after 14 days to check for live fungi. If live fungi are still detected, the treatment must be repeated.
To avoid relapses, it is advisable to carry out follow-up treatments after 1 and 3 months if there is a risk of new infection or in areas with a higher prevalence of this fungal disease.
Contraindications
The medicine should not be used
if you are allergic to econazole nitrate or any other ingredients of this medicine.”
