Indications
It can be used in adults: – In case of overweight and obesity. – With high abdominal circumference values, also in people with normal body weight. Safe in children from 8 years of age in case of overweight and obesity.
Action
Libramed controls glucose spikes after a meal, making the concentration of glucose and insulin in the blood more balanced (thus reducing the accumulation of fat and controlling the feeling of hunger). The action of Libramed is based on Policaptil Gel RetardR, a patented complex of polysaccharide macromolecules which, thanks to the synergistic action of their components, have strong gelling properties. Policaptil forms a gel in the intestines that acts on carbohydrates, reducing the amounts absorbed and the speed of absorption. Thanks to the properties of the gel, Libramed: limits fat absorption; reducing the feeling of drowsiness after a meal, supporting intestinal transit and regulating stool consistency.
Dosage
Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age: 3 tablets before two main meals. Children between 8 and 12 years of age: 2 tablets before two main meals. Take the recommended dose with plenty of water and swallow one tablet at a time. Do not suck or chew the tablet. People who have difficulty swallowing can dissolve the tablets in lukewarm water or unsweetened herbal teas, stirring until they are completely dissolved. The resulting drink should be consumed within a few minutes before it turns into a gel.
