Xylometazoline narrows the blood vessels and causes the nasal mucosa to become swollen. The additional active ingredient dexpanthenol is a derivative of the vitamin pantothenic acid, which promotes wound healing and protects the mucous membranes.
The total dose should not be exceeded without consulting a doctor or pharmacist.
Type of application?
Spray the medicine into each nostril. Breathe lightly through your nose while spraying. Beforehand, clean your nose by blowing your nose vigorously. To avoid infections, the medicine should only be used by one patient at a time.
Duration of application?
The medicine should not be used for longer than 7 days. Reapplication should only be carried out after a break of several days. You should always ask your doctor about the duration of use for children.
Overdose?
If the medicine is used as described, there are no known symptoms of overdose. If you accidentally swallow large quantities, contact a doctor immediately. Among other things, nausea, fever, cramps, cardiac arrhythmias, high blood pressure, breathing problems, sleepiness and a decrease in body temperature can occur.
