“Indications
Fenazil is a cream for temporary use in the case of insect bites and other localized skin irritations, such as redness, burning and itching.
Components
Active ingredient: Promethazine hydrochloride 2.00 g. Excipients with known effects: Methyl parahydroxybenzoate.
Excipients: Fenazil 2% Glycerol cream, polyethylene glycol ester of fatty acids, stearic acid, lavender scented essence, methyl parahydroxybenzoate, purified water.
Method of use and dosage
Apply a light layer of Fenazil cream on the affected area, massaging until complete penetration. Repeat the application 3-4 times a day. Do not exceed the recommended dose.
Warnings
The medicine is for external use only. Do not use for prolonged treatments. Prolonged and incongruous use of the drug can give rise to allergic sensitization phenomena, with consequent worsening of symptoms. If this occurs, treatment must be suspended in order to establish a suitable therapy. Since the application of Fenazil can delay the healing process, it should not be used for more than 3 – 4 consecutive days on lesions in which this phenomenon is taking place. In the case of sunburn, do not expose the area to the sun after application. If skin rashes, irritation and burning phenomena occur, the treatment must be suspended. Fenazil cream Apply the cream carefully and in a thin layer when the skin has very extensive abrasions, to avoid systemic absorption of the medicine. Too abundant application of the cream on very large areas of the skin can cause the drug to be absorbed and cause drowsiness in particularly sensitive patients.”
