Compound
The active ingredient is cholecalciferol (vitamin D3).
1 capsule contains 100 mcg (4000 IU) cholecalciferol.
Excipients: purified safflower oil, gelatin, glycerin, purified water, medium chain fatty acid triglycerides.
Dosage
Adults: 1 capsule per day from October to April or throughout the year if effective synthesis of vitamin D in the skin is not ensured during the summer months. For the prevention of vitamin D deficiency and conditions resulting from vitamin D deficiency in obese adults (BMI ≥ 30).
Capsules should be swallowed whole with water, preferably during the main meal.
Action
Vitamin D regulates the metabolism of calcium and phosphate, which affects, among other things: the processes of ossification, prevents rickets and osteomalacia.
Indications
Ibuvit D3 4000 IU is used for the prevention of vitamin D deficiency and conditions resulting from vitamin D deficiency in obese adults (body mass index (BMI) ≥ 30).
Contraindications
The drug should not be used in case of hypersensitivity to the active substance or any of the ingredients of the drug, as well as hypercalcemia, hypercalciuria, nephrolithiasis, nephrocalcinosis, severe renal failure and hypervitaminosis D.
Warnings and Precautions
The use of the drug should be discussed with a doctor in the case of sarcoidosis, severe renal failure, kidney stones, prolonged sun exposure and long-term treatment.
Keep the medicine out of the reach of children. Do not store at temperatures above 30°C. Store in original packaging to protect from light.”
