Indications
The Quixx pregnancy test is a self-immunochromatographic test for the qualitative determination of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) in urine for the early detection of pregnancy by visual method.
Method of using a medical device
1. Deadline for implementation of the definition
The test can be taken on the first day of your expected period. In most cases, the check for this date is correct. If the result is negative and pregnancy is suspected, the test should be repeated after a few days, since hCG levels vary among women or there may be an error in calculating the date of the last menstruation.
2. Sample collection, sample processing
The urine sample should be collected in the container provided with the test kit. The first morning urine sample is preferred because it usually contains the highest concentration of hCG; However, you can use a urine sample at any time of the day. If the sample cannot be tested immediately, it can be stored at 2–8°C for 72 hours before testing. If the urine has visible sediment, it should be set aside until a clear sample is obtained.
3. Testing procedures
The test kit and urine sample should be at room temperature. To begin the test, rip the sealed package along the cut. Take the kit out of your bag and use it as quickly as possible.
Using a pipette, collect a urine sample from the urine container and place 3 drops (approximately 120-150 microliters) into the test well on the plate.
Wait for the colored stripes to appear. Depending on the concentration of hCG in the urine sample, it may take about 40 seconds to obtain a positive result. However, a total response time of 5 minutes is required to confirm a negative result. Therefore, the result should be read after 5 minutes.
Don’t read the result after 10 minutes.
After use, the kit should be thrown into the trash.
4. Interpretation of results
The color intensity of the stripes may vary – the concentration of hCG varies depending on the stage of pregnancy.
Positive result. Pregnancy. A colored line appears in both the T-test and C-control areas. Therefore, the appearance of 2 lines means that you are pregnant.
Negative result. No pregnancy. The colored line is only visible in control zone C and not in test zone T. This means you are not pregnant.
Invalid result. The colored line does not appear in test zone T or control zone C, or the red line is only visible in test zone T.
Contraindications and precautions
The test is for in vitro diagnostic use only.

Do not use after the expiration date stated on the package.
The test kit cannot be reused. It should be thrown away after only one use.

Do not touch the membrane on the plate.

Urine samples and used test kits should be considered as potential sources of infection. Avoid contact with skin.
Make sure the urine container is accessible before starting the test.
The test kit should be brought to room temperature before testing.
