Areas of application
The drug is a drug with a hypnotic effect, which is one of the so-called antihistamines / sedatives.
It is used for problems with falling asleep and staying asleep that require medication.
Dosage
Unless otherwise indicated, adults take 1-2 tablets per day before bedtime.
If you have severe sleep disorders, you can take a maximum dose of 2 tablets (equivalent to 60 mg doxylamine succinate).
Contraindications
The drug should not be used in the following cases:
Known hypersensitivity to doxylamine or other antihistamines.
Acute asthma attack
Glaucoma (narrow-angle glaucoma)
Adrenal tumor (pheochromocytoma)
Enlargement of the prostate gland (prostatic hypertrophy) with the formation of residual urine
Acute poisoning with alcohol, sleeping pills or painkillers, as well as psychotropic drugs (neuroleptics, tranquilizers, antidepressants, lithium).
Convulsive disorder
Concomitant treatment with monoamine oxidase inhibitors.
The drug should not be used in children and adolescents.”
