“Short-term symptomatic treatment of nasal congestion caused by rhinitis or sinusitis. Spray 1 mg/ml is intended for use in adults and children aged 10 years and older.
Action
An imidazoline derivative with sympathomimetic activity. It directly stimulates α-adrenergic receptors. It constricts blood vessels, thereby reducing swelling of the mucous membranes. The effect begins 15 minutes after taking the dose and is manifested by easier nasal breathing due to reduced swelling of the mucous membrane and improved patency. The effect of the drug lasts on average 6-8 hours.
Dosage
Adults and children over 10 years of age: 1-2 sprays in each nostril as needed, up to 3 times daily, for a maximum of 7 days. Do not use in children under 10 years of age.
Compound
The active ingredient is xylometazoline hydrochloride.
Each dose (corresponding to 0.09 ml of solution) contains 0.09 mg of xylometazoline hydrochloride.
Excipients: citric acid monohydrate, sodium citrate, glycerin 85%, water for injection.”
