Two-phase short therapy using the Canesten® EXTRA nail kit and Canesten® EXTRA cream fights nail fungus quickly, thoroughly and effectively.
Step 1: Primary care with the Canesten® EXTRA nail kit: Urea (urea) softens the infected nail substance, bifonazole fights all relevant pathogens and prevents their spread. The healthy part of the nail is preserved.
Phase 2: Aftercare with Canesten® EXTRA cream: The active ingredient is applied directly to the exposed nail bed to combat pathogens deep in the nail bed. This is one of the main causes of recurrent nail fungus. The nails can grow back healthy.
This is how the therapy with the Canesten® EXTRA nail kit works:
The ointment is applied in a thin layer to the affected nails once a day. The ointment has a thick consistency and allows for precise application.
Then stick one of the enclosed protective plasters on the diseased nail like a protective cap. Depending on the size of the nail, it may be divided in half.
After 24 hours, you can remove the plaster and soak your fingers or toes in warm water for about ten minutes.
Now use a spatula to remove the softened, diseased nail substance as painlessly as possible.
Then dry the affected areas thoroughly, apply the ointment again and apply the enclosed hygienic plaster.
Continue the treatment until all diseased areas of the nails are removed. This condition is reached in about 7-14 days (depending on the thickness of the nail and the severity of the disease). Do not stop the treatment prematurely. Even when the diseased nail has been removed and the symptoms have passed, the fungal pathogens are often still present in the nail bed and under the nail.
