Active ingredients:
1.5 mg hydroxocobalamin acetate
Excipients:
Water for injection
Sodium chloride
Areas of application: Vitamin B12 deficiency that cannot be compensated for by diet.
Dosage
Unless otherwise stated: At the beginning of treatment, 1 ml of vitamin B12-Depot-Injectopas® 1500 mcg is administered twice a week during the first few weeks after diagnosis (equivalent to 3000 mcg of hydroxocobalamin acetate).
If there are signs of impaired absorption of vitamin B12 in the intestine, 100 mcg of cyanocobalamin/hydroxocobalamin/hydroxocobalamin acetate is prescribed once a month.
Vitamin B12-Depot-Injectopas® 1500 mcg is usually administered intramuscularly (injected into the muscle). It can also be administered slowly intravenously or subcutaneously (injected into a vein or under the skin).
Vitamin B12-Depot-Injectopas® 1500 mcg is intended for long-term use.”
