Doliprane 1000 mg tablet is a medicine reserved for adults and children from 27 kg (approximately from 8 years old). It contains paracetamol as the active substance. It is recommended to reduce fever, and it is also indicated in the treatment of pain. For example, it relieves headaches, dental pain, body aches and even painful periods.
Doliprane 1000 mg tablet dosage
The Doliprane 1000 mg tablet should be swallowed with a drink. This form is not suitable for children under 6 years old, due to the risk of going the wrong way.
This medication is indicated for adults and children weighing more than 27 kg. Before giving any medicine containing paracetamol to your child, it is important to know their weight.
For children whose weight is between 27 and 40 kg, the dosage is 1 tablet per dose, to be renewed if necessary after 6 hours, without exceeding 4 tablets per day
For children whose weight is between 41 and 50 Kg, the dosage is 1 tablet per dose, to be renewed if necessary after 4 hours, without exceeding 6 tablets per day.
For adults and children whose weight is greater than 50 Kg, the usual dosage is 1 or 2 tablets of 1000 mg per dose (depending on the intensity of the pain), to be repeated if necessary after at least 4 hours. In this case, we can turn to Doliprane 1g tablets .
Paracetamol exists in many dosages, for optimal adaptation to each child. For information, the recommended daily dose of paracetamol is approximately 60 mg per kg per day, divided into 4 or 6 doses, i.e. approximately 15 mg per kg every 6 hours, or 10 mg per kg every 4 hours.
Dosages greater than 3 g of paracetamol per day require medical advice.
Never take more than 4 g of paracetamol per day, all specialties combined: be careful not to combine Doliprane 1000 mg tablet with any other specialty containing paracetamol.
In case of overdose, you must contact a doctor urgently.
It is important to space paracetamol doses by at least 4 hours. In the event of renal insufficiency, they must be spaced 8 hours apart, and the maximum daily dose cannot exceed 4g.
Do not exceed 5 days of treatment for pain and 3 days for fever. If the treatment is ineffective or if signs of worsening occur, a medical consultation is essential.
