Econazole 1% Viatris cream is an antifungal medication for topical use , indicated in the treatment of mycoses or skin conditions caused by fungi such as candidiasis, dermatophytosis and erythrasma.
Candidiasis: Econazole 1% Viatris is used to treat non-macerated skin fold mycoses, such as interdigital, submammary and genital intertrigo. It is also used to treat nail fungus onyxis and parionyxis. In the latter cases, a systemic antifungal treatment must be combined.
Dermatophytosis: Econazole 1% Viatris is used to treat dermatophytosis of glabrous skin, non-macerated genital and femoral intertrigo and ringworm. In the latter case, an associated systemic antifungal treatment is required.
Packaging: 30 g tube.
The active substance is econazole nitrate. A 100 g tube contains 1 g.
The other ingredients are polyoxyethylene glycol 300 and 1500 and ethylene glycol stearates, light liquid paraffin, oleic macrogolglycerides, fragrance PCV 1676 (contains in particular butylated hydroxytoluene (E321)), benzoic acid (E210), butylated hydroxyanisole (E320) and purified water.
