Fields of application
Phytotherapy for colds of the respiratory tract.
The medicine is used to improve the symptoms of chronic inflammatory diseases of the bronchi; acute inflammation of the respiratory tract with the accompanying symptom of cough.
Note:
If the symptoms do not disappear or if you experience difficulty breathing, fever, as well as purulent or bloody sputum, you should consult a doctor immediately.
Dosage
Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose is:
Children under 6 years:
Single dose: 2.5 ml, equivalent to 17.5 mg of dry ivy leaf extract.
Total daily dose: 5 ml (2 times 2.5 ml), equivalent to 35 mg of dry ivy leaf extract.
Children 6 to 12 years:
Single dose: 5 ml, equivalent to 35 mg of dry ivy leaf extract.
Total daily dose: 10 ml (2 times 5 ml), equivalent to 70 mg of dry ivy leaf extract
Children 12 years and older and adults:
Single dose: 5 ml, equivalent to 35 mg of dry ivy leaf extract
Total daily dose: 15 ml (3 times 5 ml), equivalent to 105 mg of dry ivy leaf extract.
Duration of use
The duration of treatment depends on the type and severity of the clinical picture; however, it should be at least 1 week even in the case of mild inflammation of the respiratory tract.
In the interests of long-term success of treatment, it is also recommended to continue treatment with the drug for 2-3 days even after the symptoms have disappeared.
Contraindications
Do not take the medicine if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to the active ingredient or to any of the other components of the drug.”
